Walking with Fernando Pessoa: Psychogeography experience
in the city of Tomar
Project development
A psychogeographic exploration of the City, that is, an emotional and sensory experience, imposes a rhetorical poetic approach. The Project developed by Mihaela Motaianu – PhD student specialized in Visual Arts at the National University of Arts in Bucharest Romania, is a visual research started from the idea of fractal poetry, the discovery of details that in a rhetorical way contain the whole. To approached the soul of the city of Tomar, Mihaela walked for weeks on the streets, observing and experiencing the discovery of the city without analyzing its image but only letting herself be driven by feelings and emotions. From all these details and from Pessoa’s poems, Mihaela reconstructed the poetry of the city’s landscape.
